The 1889-CC is of course the rarest CC date. Now it really depends on how you got it. If it is from an old time collection it has a good chance to be real. If you got it from some one for a few dollars it is a fake. You can send it in yourself to ANACS to have them authenticate it as well as grade and slab it. Go to their web site and get a submission form. They are one of the top 4 and you can send a coin direct to them yourself. Good luck.

Several thousand exist but they are rare and valuable. Find a large coin show in your area and call the promoters to see if people from PCGS will be there. They are professional coin graders and take it in and have them do a check on it.

Or ask a group form a coin club at the show to give you advice. Don't let a dealer take it!

You can send it off to PCGS or some other grader through a dealer but I would have to know the dealer first but I would get more opinons before I spent money on that. If you do send it off photo it and then insure it heavily.
