very old coins?
JJ asked:
I would save any old coins a came across as a kid or someone would give me. I have not even looked at them in years. I have just realized that in my collection I have a 1892 Morgan S dollar and a 1921 Morgan dollar.... mentioning this to friends I have heard that these could be worth a couple hundred dollars. Should I clean them? Take them to a collector and have them graded or whatever they call it? There in great shape but dirty. Any info would be helpful

I would definately look into what they are worth and such.. Definately don’t clean them if you’re not sure if they would sell better. Look into and be careful for scams / hauxes.
It is a great investment keep them in good shape
You could get a quote on them at a coin shop and then try selling them on EBay. You could probably get more than just a couple of hundred dollars. Also, go on EBay and type in the type of coin you have and see if anyone else is selling them and for how much!!!
take them 2 the collector when they have it will probably clean it
I would have them appraised at at least 3 REPUTABLE and trustworthy coin dealers/traders. Perhaps a Yahoo search would be helpful.
Don’t clean them yourself. Leave them alone or take them to a reputable dealer, collector, or shop. You could end up damaging them and/or ruining their value. Some coins are more valuable in their “dirty” worn state then clean and shiny.
As for what they’re worth that can vary according to their condition/grade, mint mark, etc. You can get a general idea by looking them up on ebay or google.
the 1892 s is a very good collector coin. it can be worth allot depending on the condition. the 1921 was the most common silver dollar of all and unless uncirculated its worth a little over silver value or about $18.00. keep your fingers crossed that the 1892 s is in extra fine + condition, good luck also never clean coins, that will lower the value
