eBay is the best source to see how much people pay, but typically as much as a silver round. So $10-15 each for non-mint ungraded condition

Click the website below. Then click on the dollar that look most like the condition of one you have. That will take you to a page which shows what this company is selling the coins for in that condition. Very much depends on condition (the value goes up greatly between one graded Extra Fine and one graded Uncirculated. Also mint marks make a difference–those from Carson City (CC) usually command a much higher price.
If your coins have been graded and “slabbed” (placed in sealed plastic holders by the grading company) the value is sort of established, but two grading companies can grade the same coin differently.
If you look in your yellow pages under coins, there might be someone local to you who deals in coins. He may make you an offer for all of them, but it won’t be as great as a collector might pay if he needs some of those coins for his collection. The dealer has to offer a low enough price so that he can make a profit when he resells them.
If your coins are not graded, it would be difficult to sell them on eBay–although a lot of collectors look at the coins, many are just looking for certain grades or certain mint marks. You would have to get a very clear picture of each coin so that collectors can estimate what the grade might be.

The value depends on these things:

1. Date
2. Mint mark
3. Condition

The value of a morgan dollar could range from $10 to $50,000 depending on the three things mentioned above.

You can buy a book of Morgan Dolllars and easily verify the date and mint mark. Evaluating the condition, however, is best done by a professional coin grader.

Here’s what you should do:

1. Photograph each coin
2. Write down a description of each – make a list
3. Bring them to a coin professional and pay him to grade the coins. Don’t let him do it for free and don’t sell him the coins either.
4. Coins worth over $300 should be sent to a service such as PCGS. They will seal the coin in plastic and give it a serial number.
