how much silver content does a morgan/peace dollar actually have?

A Morgan silver dollar contains over. 3. 4. ounce of pure silver. … dollar, but are worth more because of their 99.93% pure silver content.

90 percent silver is right. i believe it is .77 troy ozs. per coin.
Both types of dollars weigh 26.73 grams and are made of .900 silver and .100 copper. It has a diameter of 38.1 mm. Now to answer the question; each coin has .77344 oz. of actual silver. That is if the coin is in mint state, as it wears it looses silver content. Remember we are talking Troy ounces here, the measurement system used for precious metals.
