A 1921-dated Morgan has retail of $30-$40 in Brilliant Uncirculated(BU) condition. If it has a small “D” under the tail feathers of the eagle, then it’s $60-$70, and with a small “S” at $50-$75. In order for the Morgans to grade BU, each of them has to retain its full original mint luster, has minimal contact marks(not circulation wear), it’s not cleaned or polished, and also not damaged in any way. Some natural discoloration or toning is permitted for grade BU. It’s not uncommon for people during the old times to store or to hoard silver dollars, especially those fresh from banks.
