Take it to a local coin dealer. It is always worth more if it is in MINT condition, meaning no scratches or wear on it. Look in your phone book for a dealer close to you and they can appraise it for you.
The melt value is $13.89 as of this moment. A collector will pay whatever they are willing to pay for it. If you decide to sell it, don’t sell it at a jewerly store, they screw you big time. Ebay is probably a good place to sell it.
