The first answer is not correct. Morgan Dollars were not minted at the Denver mint until 1921 (the Denver Mint was not even built until 1897). The 1888 dollars were minted at either the San Fransisco (S), New Orleans (O) or Philadelphia (blank) mint. Other years were even minted at Carson City (CC).

The mint mark (if any) is located on the reverse of the coin above and in between the D and O in the word dollar.

The mint mark, if it has one, will be on the reverse side just under the eagle, on the right. It will be either a "D", for Denver, or "S" for San Francisco. If it has none, it was made in Philadelphia.
